Why Etraf

India has a counterfeit problem, and fragrance is one of its favourite targets. A convincing fake costs a fraction to make, and by the time you realise the top notes vanished in twenty minutes, the seller is gone. Etraf exists because we got tired of that gamble. Here is exactly what we do about it.

We buy direct

Every bottle comes from the house itself or its authorised distributor — Ajmal, Swiss Arabian, Rasasi, Ibraheem Al Qurashi, Rayhaan, Khadlaj and the rest. Never the grey market. Never a reseller of a reseller. It is a slower way to build a catalogue, and the only way to know what you are actually selling.

We check the batch code

Every bottle carries a batch code on the box and the glass. We check it against the brand before it is listed, and again before it ships. If a code does not check out, it does not ship — no exceptions, no "probably fine".

It arrives sealed

Cellophane intact, box uncrushed, code readable. Nothing we send has been opened, decanted, topped up or "tested" first. If a parcel reaches you tampered with, refuse it — and tell us the same day.

You can check us

We would rather you verified than trusted us. The code is right there — check it on the brand's own site or any batch-code checker. If you are unsure where to look, send us a photo and we will walk you through it.

If we get it wrong, we own it

A policy is only worth what it does on a bad day. If you receive the wrong bottle, a damaged one, or one whose authenticity you doubt, tell us within 48 hours with photographs. We arrange a free pickup and a full refund or replacement — your choice.

The usual sealed-bottle rule does not apply in that situation. A broken seal is not a reason to refuse you when the mistake was ours.
